Find Ravens and Hemlocks and More - Oh My! …when you balance forest time with screen time:

( From their website-) The entire purpose of 1000 Hours Outside is to attempt to match nature time with screen time. If kids can consume media through screens 1200 hours a year on average, then the time is there and at least some of it can and should be shifted towards a more productive and healthy outcome!

Reminder: Every student in our district has an IXL account.

Explore Night and College Fair

Ketchikan High School is hosting two college/career prep events in early October.

Explore Night is open to anyone, and the sessions will run from 5:30-8pm on Tuesday, October 4 at the high school. I have attached a flyer showing the sessions that will be offered. The admissions deans from the visiting colleges present these sessions.

The college and vocational fair is hosted during the day, with seniors only 10:30-11:45, and all grades 12:30-1:55. If you have students who would like to attend the fair, please send Shelann Mas the names and grades of those attending and the names of the adult chaperones.
